Years ago I saw a photo of a little gargoyle that seemed to have a personality all his own. This digital painting is the kind of personality I saw in him. Originally, I had intended to do an entire character series of George, but got busy with other things and eventually the inspiration got lost. I often look at this piece and consider redoing it, because it was painted with a mouse (as opposed to a tablet). But I think leaving it just as it is says more about where I was in my artistic endeavors at the time – like a piece of history.
