SOPA Blackout Wednesday

As an artist, I’m certainly aware of and sensitive to copyright issues on the web. However, I have to agree with the many who are saying that there are better ways to go about avoiding piracy without bringing in the government. If SOPA passes, the government could issue a court order against an artist or website to have the work and artist removed. Many artists rely on virtual fans; the sharing and discussing of works. The Daily X – George

The Daily X – George

Years ago I saw a photo of a little gargoyle that seemed to have a personality all his own. This digital painting is the kind of personality I saw in him. Originally, I had intended to do an entire character series of George, but got busy with other things and eventually the inspiration got lost. I often look at this piece and consider redoing it, because it was painted with a mouse (as opposed to a tablet).
