Each section of artwork contains a different mood, a different expression. When I paint traditionally, the point of expression is decidedly different than when I paint digitally. The same can be compared with photo montages. I’ve never quite understood why this is the case, but I tend not to argue with the Muse.

Years ago I saw a photo of a little gargoyle that seemed to have a personality all his own. This digital painting is the kind of personality I saw in him. Originally, I had intended to do an entire character series of George, but got busy with other things and eventually the inspiration got lost. I often look at this piece and consider redoing it, because it was painted with a mouse (as opposed to a tablet).
